Millwall player-manager Dennis Wise says he is disappointed with Ipswich Town boss Joe Royle's post-match comments after Saturday's clash between the two sides at The Den.

Royle was incensed by the referee's decision to dismiss Town defender Georges Santos but not Lions' goalkeeper, Tony Warner, who handled the ball outside the box.

Wise said: "I am disappointed that Joe has been saying things.

"Tony came out of his box, but the ball was running wide of the goal. Santos made two fouls and got two yellow cards. That's fair enough."

Santos was indeed guilty of two reckless challenges - one in the first half when he cynically blocked the progress of Millwall winger Peter Sweeney and the second shortly after half-time for a similar offence on Kevin Braniff. Tony Warner, however, was a victim of the weather if anything.

Warner had rushed off his line to challenge Ipswich forward Pablo Counago but his momentum, combined with the slippery surface, sent him sliding out of the box.
