Millwall's pre-season friendly against University College Dublin has been scrapped by the Irish side following their concerns about the rising costs to host the fixture.
The game, was originally scheduled to take place on Monday 21st July, was called off after The Lions received a letter from UCD informing the club of their decision.
"(we) regret to inform you that UCD AFC will not now be in a position to accept your offer to fulfill the fixture," read the letter. "Due to the costs involved in hosting the game and the potential financial loss to UCD, a risk the club can ill afford to take."
With so many fans travelling over to Dublin for the short tour, Millwall attempted to find a replacement but were unsuccessful. The tour will therefore come to an end following The Lions' game against Bray Wanderers.
