Mark Stimson has emerged as front-runner in the race to become the next Millwall manager after The London Paper reported that the former Stevenage man had been in contact with The Lions.
A week ago Stimson looked set to be named as the new boss of Gillingham after resigning from his post with The Boro and an annoucement was expected, but it seems interest from The Den may have scuppered that particular deal and also quashed interest from Port Vale.
"They are good clubs," revealed Stimson. "But someone from Millwall has asked to speak to me and I am waiting to see how it all develops."
