Preston Edwards has joined Isthmian Premier Divison side Dover Athletic on a month's loan after confirmation that their regular goalkeeper John Whitehouse had broken his collar bone and will miss the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old has just returned from injury but manager Kenny Jackett is keen for the youngster to gain some first team experience, with opportunities at The Den limited thanks to the form of first-choice keeper David Forde.
The deal is initially for one month but could be extended if both parties feel it is beneficial for the player.
