The hot talking point after Saturday's clash versus Burnley was the handball given by referee Eddie Ilderton for an alleged handball by defender Mark Phillips.

The ref awarded the spot kick after James O'Connor's cross hit Phillips' hand, but it seemed very much a case of ball-to-hand rather then a hand-to-ball.

Millwall player-boss Dennis Wise, was missed the game through injury was very disappointed with the result.

"I was disappointed to come away with nothing," offered Wise. "As for the penalty, maybe it was and maybe it wasn't. But we didn't get much from the referee all afternoon.

"Any little push by us and he was blowing and any little push on us he was waving play on.

"We came here confident of a result but we wasted so many opportunities and we have to pick ourselves up and make sure we get a result against Crewe on Tuesday."

Assistant boss Ray Wilkins also believed the penalty was debatable. "It was a very harsh penalty. On another day we'd have come away with 3 points had we took the chances which came our way first half"
