Neil Harris has received many accolades since breaking Teddy Sheringham's all-time goalscoring record for Millwall but yesterday Parliament got in the act when Bermondsey MP Simon Hughes tabled a Commons motion praising the striker's "unique contribution" to The Lions.
The Liberal politician and Millwall fan called Harris "one of the greatest ever" to grace The Den and went on to thank the player for his "skill and loyalty over the last decade.
Hughes also praised the striker's "personal courage" after overcoming testicular cancer, and for "going public about the importance of recognising this disease."
