Joe Gallen, Millwall's Assistant manager, has rubbished recent internet rumours that Lions midfielder Jimmy Abdou was on his way out of The Den after he was missing from last weekend's squad that faced Carlisle United.
Speculation was rife on the club's many messageboards that he had been sold to Leeds United despite an announcement from The Lions' fan on the board Pete Garston that the reason why the player was missing was due to injury and many believed the club had pulled a fast one.
However, Gallen told News Shopper that they were merely rumours. “There is no truth in that as far as I know," he revealed. “I am sure Kenny Jackett would not welcome any bid for any of our players, let alone Jimmy.
“Jimmy has got a groin/hip fracture strain unfortunately."
