The Lions skipper missed Saturday's defeat at Stoke City due to an ankle injury picked up in the Carling Cup defeat at the hands of Liverpool but returned to training yesterday.
Wise is already without striker Neil Harris - who has been ruled out for three weeks after picking up a calf strain at the Britannia Stadium - but Paul Ifill could make a welcome return to the squad and may be on the bench at Loftus Road.
Josh Simpson looks set to return to the starting line-up in place of Harris.
