The diminutive playmaker was sent off for a second bookable offence during Saturday's 0-0 draw with Cardiff. Lions manager Colin Lee was furious at the injury-time dismissal by referee Andy D'Urso and is extremely annoyed that Morris will now be ineligible for Tuesday night.
He told the club website: "I've got to say I think it was a diabolical sending-off. It wasn't a violent tackle, he made an attempt to get the ball.
"He will be a big loss to us on Tuesday because we are going to have to make an adjustment and we haven't really got a player who can link the play like Jody can."
The Lions will also be without Mark Phillips due to a hamstring tweak picked up on Saturday. This will not help the Lions against a strong QPR side.
"Mark has a slight hamstring tweak and we don't want to risk it developing into a bad one," said Lee.
"He might even be available for the match at Hull on Friday."
QPR also have several injury worries ahead of the trip to the New Den.
Main striker Paul Furlong is out serving a ban for picking up a red card during the 2-1 win at Leicester. Defender Matt Hislop will also be out for Rangers after suffering an ankle ligament injury at the Walkers Stadium. QPR manager Ian Holloway now fears that he may of in fact broken his ankle.
Without Hislop QPR do not have a recognised left-back. Captain Kevin Gallen is still out with a hamstring injury while Lee Cook is expected to return after recovering from a bruised foot.
Lloyd Dyer will go straight into the squad for the Hoops after signing on a months loan from West Brom.
