Millwall hope to complete the signing of the former Rotherham United player tomorrow morning on a deal expected to last at least a month with the possibility of an extension if he impresses manager Willie Donachie.
"He's like a young Kenny Dalglish," Donachie told the club's official site. "He's that sort of player, works off another striker but can create things for himself as well.
"Will played against us last season and scored two so we know about him - Pat Holland has seen him a lot.
"He's a very bright, intelligent player, young with a lot to learn but he could go on to become a very good player."
