Millwall Football Club have finally been granted permission by EMI Records to release their official FA Cup Final song, 'Oh Millwall'.
It was believed that the project would have to be scrapped after the record company blocked the club from releasing the re-worked version of Dean Martin's classic 'Volare' but after long discussions between the two parties, the song finally got the green light this morning.
Spekaing to the Club's official website, Capital Gold DJ and Lions fan Mick Brown explained the turnaround. "We had a slight problem gaining permission and had to request special permission from a publisher in LA.
"We also ran a poll on the Capital website in which over 1,000 Lions fans registered their backing for the CD to be released. We would like to thank EMI UK for their support in resolving this issue.
Everyone is delighted that we have now been given the go-ahead and fans should be able to buy it from early next week."
