The long-serving physio was initally suspended in December afteran altercation with then-boss Colin Lee at the club's festive bash in Knightsbridge over a taxi fare.
Despite apologising the next day, Docherty was suspended indefinitely before finally being dismissed after a club investigation into the incident.
A club insider said: "Gerry was suspended but the club have now decided to sack him after they investigated what happened."
