Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is hopeful of securing two new centre forwards in time for this weekend's clash against Swindon Town to replace missing pair Neil Harris and Tresor Kandol.
The Lions' boss is expected to secure the services of former Watford striker Gifton Noel Williams on a short-term contract later today while Plymouth Argyle centre forward Jermaine Easter is set to sign on an emergency loan deal tomorrow.
Williams, 28, has been training with The Lions since returning from a spell in Spain with Real Murcia and Elche CF and is currently out-of-contract, allowing Jackett to sign him outside of the transfer window. Easter, meanwhile, is expected to sign for a month from Home Park as cover for the injured Harris and Kandol, who is suspended following his red card at Leicester City.
