It may not have been pretty at times but Millwall manager Kenny Jackett was delighted with The Lions late win after Hereford put in a stubborn display to frustrate the home side.
Victory came with just minutes remaining when Lewis Grabban fired home to steal the three points in a game that saw both teams finish with ten men. But for Jackett it was an important win after the disappoinment of the weekend.
"I am very pleased with the win and it was every bit as good as when we beat Leeds,'' he said after the game. "We showed fight to keep attacking Hereford after the sendings off and it is great to be at the top again.
"We showed Scunthorpe what we were made of on Saturday and we won't give up. We aren't the finished article yet - we need to keep improving everyone knows that.
"The team is full of young guys who are hungry and we are scoring goals from a variety of positions."
