Hackett: Opened the scoring
Kenny Jackett's Millwall side continued their fine pre-season form with a win over last season's FA Trophy winners, Ebbsfleet United.

In a hard-fought contest, goals from winger Chris Hackett and youngster Gary Bowes either side of half-time secured the win, with Hackett scoring the opener after just two-minutes. However, victory came at a price when youth team defender Jack Sim was forced from the field of play shortly before half-time.

The Lions boss opted to field something of an experimental side rather than a full-strength outfit, with a mix of youth and first team players making up the starting XI. But the big surprise of the evening was the return of Lenny Pidgeley between the sticks. The former Chelsea keeper was caught out by a rasping 18-yard drive from Neil Barrett but was otherwise untroubled with The Lions dominating procedings.

Kenny Jackett's men will round off their preperations for the new season with a game against Exeter City before facing Oldham Athletic in the opening match of the new season the following week.
