The nineteen-year-old, who can also play in midfield, has impressed many with his performances for The Lions since joining in November and his original month with the club was due to end after this weekend's game against Bristol City.
But with so many of the club's first team players injured or approaching suspensions, boss Willie Donachie moved to secure his services for the busy Christmas schedule.
