Johnson on month-to-month deal

It was originally agreed that Johnson would remain at the Den until next May, but West Ham manager Glenn Roeder changed his mind when he realised the Hammers would not be able to recall him in the event of injuries.

Millwall boss Mark McGhee said: "Originally myself and Glenn Roeder agreed to keep him here until the end of the season.

"But once it became clear West Ham had no recall option we understood their desire to extend his stay on a month-by-month basis."
