It is understood that the manager is keen to clear out a lot of the dead wood in order free up the necessary finances to allow him to bring his own players in over the summer, with several more set to follow Brighton and Day.
The writing has been on the wall for former Tottenham and QPR keeper Day since being replaced by on-loan keeper Rab Douglas earlier in the season and with Jackett keen to develop Preston Edwards he was alway likely to leave in the summer.
