The former Luton Town player looked odds on to score after he made contact with a Danny Senda cross just yards out but he failed to hit the target with the goal at his mercy. To make matters worse, he missed another sitter following up Neil Harris' missed penalty the week before against Bournemouth and has left Jackett wondering whether his luck has run out.
"I'm lost for words really," Jackett told News Shopper. "I have to say something but looking on the screen it was a golden opportunity. He is a good player, there is no doubt about that, and he gets in good positions for a wide man.
"He has scored goals most of his career and has a good habit and knack of being able to come off the line and pop up in good positions.
"That was the thing which attracted me to him because he does come and split his strikers very well and get into very decent goal scoring positions."
