A draw at home to Gillingham last weekend left Millwall in a perilous situation and with Leeds United and Carlisle United to come, thinks look very bleak indeed.
However, if The Lions can pool off a shock away to Hartlepool United manager Kenny Jackett believes it will be a turning point and a possible springboard to safety.
"This is a winnable game for us," Jackett told the club's official website. "Hartlepool are a good footballing side and have an impressive record at home, but this is a golden opportunity.
"To win there would be a massive step forward for us. We have four games remaining and they are all pressured, but our future is in our own hands. Forget what happens elsewhere in the country tomorrow with other results, we know that if we perform and get the results we will be OK. That is our primary concern.
"However it is no secret we need to improve on our finishing. Scoring six goals in nine games is always going to make it very hard to win matches"
