The Millwall boss was quick to thank his staff when accepting the award, indicating that it was a team effort more than anything that has seen an upturn in the team's fortunes.
"The focus is always on the man at the top, but this has been a real team effort and I have to pay tribute to the hard-working dedicated staff I have around me."
However, as most fans know, the award is usually followed by defeat with many believing it is cursed but Jackett laughed this suggesting off when talking to the club's official website.
"Winning this will have nothing to do with what happens against MK Dons on Saturday. The previous five games are history now and we will look forward to the next task which is winning this match. If we approach the game in the same professional manner as we have been doing, we have the ability in the side to take the three points"
