Millwall boss Kenny Jackett believes his team is more than ready to take that step up in class - should The Lions win promotion this season - despite being amongst the bookies' favourites to exit League One at the other end of the table at the beginning of the season.
The Lions currently sit in third place in the table, still five points behind second place Peterborough United, but with Leicester City experiencing something of a dip in form, Jackett's men could yet nab one of the automatic promotion spots.
However, but for his side's dreadful home performances of late - including costly defeats against Oldham Athletic, Colchester United and Leicester City to nambe but three - it could have all been looking much rosier for Millwall.
"We will deal with it however it comes and whatever happens," Jackett told the South London Press. "It is still not settled, though - Oldham jumped over us when they won 3-2 at The Den on February 28, but now we are 17 points ahead of them.
"Whatever happens, there is a fantastic Wembley win for someone in this division. Why shouldn't it be us if we can't get promoted automatically?
"I think we are ready to go up," continued Jackett. "If the opportunity is there, you have to go for it. Only time will tell whether the set-up is good enough to hold on to that promotion."
