Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is being lined up to take over Queen's Park Rangers, should Iain Dowie fail to sustain their challenge for promotion this season. Or so says The Sun newspaper in their daily gossip column.
The Lions' steady progress up the table this season has seen Jackett's stock rise and it seems only natural he should be linked with a move back to Loftus Road, where he worked under Ian Holloway seven years ago. But such stories should really be taken with a pinch of salt.
If you read the Daily Mirror, however, former England and Australia manager Terry Venables will be favourite to manage the club he enjoyed some success with in the early 1980s.
One thing's for sure, I wouldn't like to be in Iain Dowie's position at the moment...
