After weeks of speculation on the many Millwall messageboards, it looks as if Neil Harris won't be given an extension to his current contract after manager Kenny Jackett told the
South London Press that players will be judged on what they can offer Millwall in the future rather than what they have achieved in the past.
And last year's Player of the Year Richard Shaw could be following Harris out of the door after he too was left out of the side that lost so badly to Doncaster Rovers at home at the weekend.
"I didn't select a number of people on Saturday," said Jackett. "But after that performance I am not thinking about which individuals will have contracts in six months' time.
"What a player has done in the past is not the point - it is more a case of what happens about Millwall between now and the end of the season. My thoughts are in the shorter term."
"We had a very poor performance on Saturday after two or three good ones. And the team selection will reflect that. I am looking more at getting an improvement against Nottingham Forest, Southend and Tranmere."
