Neil Harris knows a thing or two about the play-offs, after all, this is his third experience of them with Millwall. Admittedly he - nor the club - have had much joy in years gone by with The Lions failing to win any of the previous eight games but on Saturday all that came to end when Harris - who else - ended that long drought with the winner against Leeds United.
And now Kenny Jackett's men have one foot on Wembley Way and are determined not to let all the hard work over the course of the season come apart at Elland Road on Thursday night. But win or lose, Harris believes the experience can only make The Lions stronger.
"How you react to these games depends on the player, but I used it to make me stronger and want success more," Harris told the Evening Standard. "When we lost to Wigan, we were in a similar position to the one we're in now.
"We were in a rebuilding process and lost to the better team over two legs and they went on to be promoted. That was our learning curve and gave us hunger to want promotion the year after and we won the title that season.
"What we have got at Millwall is a togetherness as a team. We stick together and talk a lot and there's a great dressing room spirit — one I haven't seen here for a long while."
