Harris, who only started because Tresor Kandol was ineligible to play, turned in a Man of the Man match performance as The Lions dominated the game from start to finish, despite falling behind to Luciano Becchio's speculative strike midway through the first half. First he play a reverse pass into the path of Dave Martin for the equaliser before flicking on Marc Laird's cross in the second half to put the home side in front - his first of the season. Then, with just over two minutes left on the clock, Harris sealed victory with a curling third after some good work from strike partner Gary Alexander, leaving manager Kenny Jackett delighted with the result.
"From start to finish we did very well," said Jackett after the game. "We got over going a goal behind and we stayed strong, showed some character and kept playing football. We passed the ball well and scored some very good goals."
The Lions boss also singled out Harris for special praise.
"I was pleased with his goals and they were crucial, particularly the second one. His performance from start to finish was very good."
