Chris Hackett looks set to extend his current contract with Millwall Football Club after an explosive start to the season.
Despite being asked to fill in at right back by manager Kenny Jackett, the former Hearts winger has been one of the stars of the season so far and the manager was eager to secure the player's services with his current deal expiring in December.
"Things look positive for our discussions coming to a conclusion by Monday," Jackett told the South London Press. "I have been very pleased with him.
"He has adapted well to a new position and has been getting in good crosses from wide on the right."
Hackett is expect to sign on Monday, keeping him at The Den until 2010.
