After enjoying an outstanding debut season with The Lions, it was only natural for defender Danny Senda to pick up the odd admirer or two, but with Willie Donahie hoping to build a team capable of putting up a fight for next season's League One title chairman John Berylson has felt the need to issue a public statement about the player's future.
The former Wycombe Wanderers defender joined on a free transfer at the start of last season and quickly ousted Scottish international Maurice Ross from the right-back berth and has been tracked by a number of Championship clubs, including Crystal Palace.
"Senda is going nowhere," he told the
South London Press. "He has a great future and Willie Donachie wants to keep him, to make a viable team for next season.
"We want to have a squad which can compete in the Championship. Danny can help us get there"
