The fee matches the amount paid by The Lions to West Bromwich Albion for the Scottish international's services last November and there are rumours that the financially strapped Lions may accepted the bid in order to off-load one of the club's highest earner.
Dobie, who has scored just three times in 16 appearances, has failed to make an impact since arriving although he has struggled with injury and has been forced to play wide on the right by manager Dennis Wise. Wise himself is upset by the bid and may clash with the board again if the player is sold, especially in light of Barry Hayles hamstring injury.
The Lions are currently eight in the Championship and only three points off a play-off spot, but having already sold off the services of Mark McCammon and Neil Harris this season, Wise is now short of attacking options and believes his threadbare squad will not be able to keep pace with the competition.
