The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international hit his second successive penalty to put Millwall level against Altrincham at the weekend before Will Hoskins settled the tie to send The Lions through to Round Two and Dunne feels that this could be the turning point in what has been a torrid season so far.
"At the beginning of the season things were not going our way," he told the club's official website. "And they were not going right for me.
"But you either rise to the challenge or go under, and I battled through it. I want to be here, I want to play and win games and I'm enjoying my football.
"Things have turned around for the good and we are all determined to pick up more points and head up the table."
