Millwall took the lead in the sixth minute thanks to Ben May's close-range strike but the League One outfit allowed their non-league counter-parts back into the game when Rocky Baptiste levelled the scores in the Second Half. And it was the Hampshire side who looked the more likely to win the game until Alan Dunne hit a 25-yard rocket past Shane Gore in The Hawks' goal.
"I was relieved to get the second goal," said an unhappy Donachie. "But disappointed with some of the performances from certain players.
"We needed a few more strong characters and we let them play their own game too much.
"We had too many young players out there but they kept battling and in the end of the day they won."
Millwall now travel to Yorkshire to face League One rivals Bradford City in the next round.
