Warner was expected to leave on a Bosman during the summer after falling out with Millwall chairman Theo Paphitis and was all set to leave the club during the last transfer window before picking up a neck injury which kept out of the game for two months.
It was rumoured that he was leaving to join West Ham United but they have just signed Walsall's James Walker and his absence from the "shop window" as led to a distinct lack of offers while the clubs that were interested last January have since gone elsewhere.
If he does stay, it will be a massive boost for the club and manager Dennis Wise, but with Danny Milosevic on trial and Andy Marshall in talks over a new contract, Warner may find himself down the pecking order come the start of the new season.
