Wise, who's caretakership ended on Saturday after the 3-1 away defeat to Norwich City, made the comments on Sky Sports yesterday stating that he would find it difficult to work with another manager having been in charge for a month.
The former Chelsea captain enjoyed something of a honeymoon period for the first three games, registering two wins and a draw, but things came crashing down at Carrow Road where he was criticised by some fans for playing a formation that didn't suit the players involved. Their argument is somewhat supported by the fact that The Lions were 3-0 by the break although Wise's selections were somewhat hampered by injuries to three of Millwall's first choice forward line.
Paphitis, meanwhile, is expected to name a new manager sometime this week. Whether Wise does get the nod remains to be seen.
