While the rest of The Den are biting their fingernails, Chairman John Berylson is displaying the kind of optimism that only a recent convert to The Lions cause could convey and believes his side can still nab an automatic promotion slot.
But if Millwall do fall short of their target, he is hoping that they retain their current form to see them through the play-offs - despite the club's appalling post-season record.
"There are three games left and you don't know," Berylson told the club's official website. "It is a lot of points. It is all about what we do and I can not really worry about other people and whatever happens we want to go in there (the play-offs) strong and winning.
"I would like to win the next three games and I would like us to be a team full of momentum and for people to be afraid to play us.
"If it is a play-off so be it, if it is automatic wonderful. The fact is at the beginning of the year no one would have thought about us relative to the play-offs."
