Daniels enters the Lions Den

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has taken Tottenham Hotspur left back Charlie Daniels on a week's trial with the view to signing the player on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old defender, who spent last season on loan at Leyton Orient, will join The Lions on their short tour of the Republic of Ireland next week.

"He has played a few positions in his career and that versatility is important," Jackett told the South London Press. "We know the people in the Spurs set-up well and they have very kindly said we can have a look at him."
