Having pipped to the final automatic promotion spot by Peterborough United, Millwall go into this weekend's play-offs in search of their first ever win after failing to register a single victory in four attempts.
However stand-in captain Tony Craig admits that The Lions will only have themselves to blame if they fail to go up this year after a run of disappointing results at home over the Christmas period.
Ironically that run coincided with one of the best periods of away form in the club's history that propelled Kenny Jackett's men into promotion contenders. But Craig knows that had the players combined the two then The Lions could have already been up.
"There were games (against) Swindon, Colchester and Brighton at home where we should won," Craig told The Metro. "But the other team scored and hung on to draw or win the game after just having one shot on target.
"We're disappointed we didn't finish second but it still represents a good season for us."
