According to today's Mail on Sunday, the former Lions striker flew in to London todayfrom Germany for talks with Millwall chairman Jeff Burnige about a possible player-manager role, following former Derby County manager George Burley's decision not to continue negotiations.
Claridge, who last season played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford and Wycombe Wanderers, has previously managed both Portsmouth and non-league Weymouth, where he has some initial success, but his appointment - should it happen - would still be considered something of risk for the club, who have now been without a manager for over a month.
