Millwall's game against Cheltenham Town has been postponed after a lunchtime pitch inspection by local officials ruled the pitch unplayable.
The playing surface at the Whaddon Road ground was still frozen in parts and with further sub-zero temperatures forecast for this evening the decision was taken by all concerned to call the game off to avoid any wasted journeys by fans, players and officials alike.
"We're all disappointed the game is off," said Millwall MD Andy Ambler. "But I'd like to thank Cheltenham Town and the Football League on behalf of our travelling fans for ensuring the inspection was done in good time to prevent everyone from making an unnecessary journey."
