Brighton Rock?

Striker Mark McCammon's wish to placed on the transfer list hasn't exactly had the likes of Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson racing to sign him up, but the player's wish to move has attracted the attention of former Lions' boss Mark McGhee.

McGhee, who signed McCammon from Brentford eighteen months ago, is looking to bolster his squad and believes the lanky striker could be a useful addition to his squad.

Boss Dennis Wise has publicly stated that if Brighton want to sign Mark McCammon then they he will not stand in their way, but as yet, nooffer has been forthcoming.

McCammon has just under two years remaining on his contract with the club but a potential sticking point.

"If Brighton would like to buy Mark, they can do so," said Wise in yesterday's News of the World.

"We have been paying him for the last 18 months and are contracted to continue doing so, so we expect a fee."
