Graham Ferguson Lacey's bid to upset the apple cart at The Den collapsed today as thousands of Lions fans unanimously backed chairman John Berylson at today's Extraordinary General Meeting.
The meeting, which was called by Lacey at considerable cost to the club, saw nearly 46,000 small shareholders vote against the Isle of Man property developer, allowing Berylson's proposals concerning the regeneration of the land around the ground to continue as planned.
Weeks of campaigning by The Lions Trust and the MSC ensured a groundswell of support that left Deputy Executive Chairman flabbergasted.
"It was a fantastic demonstration of support for the board," she told the South London Press. "All of the board are extremely grateful."
