Tricky winger Abou Fofana became the latest casualty at The Den when he picked up a knock in training on Tuesday morning and was forced to leave the session for treatment.
That means The Lions now only have nine fully fit first team players as they look forward to entertaining high-flying Norwich City on Saturday. But despite this latest set back, Dennis Wise is looking on the bright side of life.
Speaking to Millwall's official website, the manager said : "We're in good spirits, but we need to be because this situation really isn't funny.
"Gerry Docherty is doing his best to try and get people back fit again, but most of the injuries we've suffered are not just short term where players will be back in a matter of days. These injuries are taking weeks to heal.
"It's no good us complaining about it, because we have to put a team out there on Saturday capable of competing. But what I really want is the other sort of selection problem where I've got to decide which 11 to pick out of 22 players.
"At the moment I've just got to pick anyone who is fit. I never realised quite what a tough job management can be under these circumstances.
"Ray and I are still looking to bring people in on loan and hopefully something will happen soon in that respect. But the most important thing is that we remain positive."
