The club is currently hovering over the relegation zone but a recent run of results has convinced the midfielder that manager Willie Donachie has the players to make it happen.
"I know it is an old cliche, but we really do have to take every game as it comes," he told the Southwark News.
"Because of the position we are in at the monent, if we look too far ahead you take your eye off what is close to you.
"Every game we've got to go out and show the right attitude and get some consistency, whether it is a point away from home or a win at The Den.
"Once we see ourselves hit the 52-point mark to guarantee safety, that's when we can look further. At the moment all we can concentrate on is climbing towards 52 points."
